Joseph “Joey Ca$h” A. Caschera, 29, of South Williamsport passed away suddenly on July 14, 2019. He was born on September 4, 1989 in Harrisburg to Joseph L. and Nancy (Mazzante) Caschera.
Joseph was a proud graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in communications. His love for basketball originally landed him at Penn State Hazleton, where he was a member of the team. He worked in technical sales and support for Jartrek Support, Muncy.
Joey was a constant uplifting presence and a selfless supporter of others’ achievements. Joey was passionate about all aspects of life, which was shown through his vast amount of close-knit relationships with his family, cousins, and friends. He was generous in many ways, but especially with his time. You could always find him visiting and laughing with the kids of those he loved.
He will be remembered most by his bright smile and contagious laughter that filled every room he entered. One of his special attributes was the way he could turn anyone’s mood or day around, always making them feel better than before. Joey will also be remembered through his frequent words of advice that he gave which were, “decisions determine destiny” and, of course, “RAIDER NATION!”
In addition to his loving parents Joseph is survived by three brothers, Nate Caschera, Long Beach, CA; Eric Caschera, South Williamsport; and Anthony Caschera, South Williamsport; a sister, Maria (Riley Hengler) Caschera, South Williamsport, paternal grandmother, Adina Caschera, Duboistown, maternal grandfather, Dominick Mazzante, South Williamsport, many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends, and two very special canine companions, Dozer and Bachi. Joseph is preceded in death by an uncle, Tony Caschera and maternal grandmother, Carmella Mazzante.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Joseph’s life will be held on Friday, July 19 at 10:30am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 800 W. Central Ave., South Williamsport with Father Bert Kozen officiating.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, July 18 at Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
