John William Chianelli, 64, of Williamsport passed away, Thursday, February 27, 2025 at home surrounded by family.

Born August 24, 1960 in Williamsport he was a beloved son of Robert E. and Geraldine H. (Seewald) Chianelli who survive him.

He enjoyed fishing in Canada with his family. He loved gardening and planting flowers for his Mother on Mother’s Day with Chrissy. He always liked to watch the Steelers during football season. He could sing along with most 70’s rock songs and liked to watch “good old days “ TV shows. He had a great sense of humor. He was a member of the former Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church.

Surviving in addition to his parents are two children, Erica Chianelli and Jesse Creasey of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren, Faith and Diego; his siblings, Susan Crossley (Mark), Dr. Robert E. Chianelli (Karin), and Elizabeth Fischer (Eric), all of Williamsport; and his nieces and nephews, Brett and Bryan Crossley, Andrew, Zachary, and Kelly Fischer.

He was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Christine J. Park, on June 15, 2024.

Private burial in Wildwood Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
