John P. Mills, Sr., 69, a resident of Hughesville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 11, 2020 at his residence. Born Monday, October 22, 1951 in Muncy Creek Twp., Lycoming Co., PA, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Mary Esther (Greene) Mills. John was the husband of Judy L. (Houtz) Mills with whom he celebrated a 25th wedding anniversary on March 30, 2020.

Johnny was a 1970 graduate of Hughesville High School. He honorably served his country with the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He was a self employed truck driver for over 33 years.

He had a passion for vehicles and enjoyed tinkering with his trucks.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, John P. Mills, Jr.; Jason Mills; Shellie Mingle of Muncy, PA and Melvin Mingle II of Cogan Station, PA. John is also survived by one grandson, Blaine Mingle of South Williamsport, PA and two sisters, Connie (Don) Reigel of Lewisburg, PA and Judy (Pat) Andrews of Hughesville, PA.
