John F. Doyle, 78, of West Grove, died Dec. 24, 2018, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.
He was born Dec. 3, 1940, in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of the late John H. and Alice (Reid) Doyle.
John graduated from St. Joseph’s High School, Williamsport in 1958. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, and enjoyed antique cars and model trains.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Ann Garvey, with whom he graduated high school with; a son, John P. (Donna) Doyle, of Hillsborough, North Carolina; two daughters, Patricia D. (Scott) Debano, of Darien, Connecticut and Kimberly D. (Philip) Harrington, of Landenberg; two brothers, James (Esther) Doyle, of Santee, California and William (Maile) Doyle, of Findlay, Ohio; and six grandchildren, Michael and Thomas Doyle, Anna and Lila Debano, and Erin and Molly Harrington.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport, with Rev. John J. Victoria as celebrant. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 400 E. Marshall Street, West Chester, PA 19380.
