John Buehler, Jr., 54 of Montoursville, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport Hospital after a courageous four year battle with cancer. He was born May 21, 1965 in Rantoul, Illinois a son of John “Jack” and Barbara Gemberling, Buehler, Sr.
John was a 1983 graduate of Montoursville High School where he was a wrestler and baseball standout. He attended Allegheny Community College where he played baseball pitching in the Junior College World Series. He was a Client Advisor for Fairfield Auto Group for 23 years and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and was a supporter of their food pantry. He was an avid golfer belonging to the Williamsport Country Club and played in the Plumbers group at the White Deer golf course. He was an outstanding dart shooter with the Harmonia Club which he was a member; was an avid Penn State football fan and a serious tailgater and also enjoyed their wrestling and hockey teams. He was very generous in supporting local fund raisers.
In addition to his parents of Montoursville he is survived by his brother, James (Michelle) Buehler of Montoursville; nephew, Fletch Buehler and niece, Brook Maiorana.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Dr., Montoursville with the Rev. Jacob A. Waybright officiating. After the service there will be a tailgate party at the Williamsport Country Club.
