John A. Irion, 44, of Montoursville, unexpectedly passed Saturday, February 24, 2024. Born September 4, 1979, in Williamsport, he was a son of John W. and Dianne L. (Falk) Irion. John married Holly W. Foster on August 28, 2004.
John and his wife Holly of 19 years, shared a wonderful life. John was a devoted husband, and father, he adored his wife, children, and their dogs as they were his everything. At the young age of 19 John pursued a career as an electrician at Tra Electric where he was employed for the last 25 years. He loved everything outdoors, especially hunting on the family farm, fishing with his son Ashton, and Kayden who was like a son to him. He enjoyed supporting his daughter Jillian, in soccer games and spent countless hours at tournaments. He loved teaching and giving both of his children advice and was always their biggest supporter. John was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, cousin, and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by his wife Holly W. Irion, of Montoursville; parents, John W. and Dianne L. Irion, of Montoursville; son, Ashton J. Irion (Allie Kiess), of Montoursville; daughter, Jillian R. Irion, of Montoursville; sisters, Amber L .(Jesse) Johnson, of Spring Grove, Melissa E. (Jonathan) Weaver, of Williamsport, Tessa A. (Drew) Little, of Montoursville, Jessi R. (Joseph) Woltz, of Williamsport; maternal grandfather, Robert F. (Amy) Falk, of Williamsport; mother-in-law, Suzan E. Ecker, of Montoursville; sister-in-law, Heidi L. Foster, of Montoursville; nieces, MacKenzie Weaver, Ava Barto, Blakeley Little, Raelynn Woltz; nephews, JC Weaver, Brantley Little, Trace Irion; aunt, Caitlin Gallagher; uncles, Drew Falk, and David Falk.
John was preceded in death by paternal grandparents; John W., Julia M. Irion; maternal grandmother, Gayle Falk.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 12 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Drive Montoursville, with Rev. Larry L. Leland, Jr. officiating. Visitation from 10-12 p.m. on Friday with luncheon to follow at the church.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to SPCA or PA Association of Wildlife Rehabilitators.
