Jim E. Haddix, 55, of Williamsport, died Friday, November 29, 2024.

Born February 21, 1969, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Leland M. and Jeanette E. (Wilson) Haddix. On October 19, 2024, Jim married Maria A. Perez Ellis.

Jim never met a stranger. He was the friend you could call at the last minute and he’d be there to help. With a cocky grin and snarky comment, but he would be there. Remember him as the wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend that he was.

Jim is survived by his wife, Maria A. Haddix; mother, Jeanette Haddix, of Montoursville; daughter, Diana N. Ellis, of Grantville; sons, James E. Haddix, Jr., of Orrum, NC, Alex L. Haddix, of Orrum, NC, Connor P. Haddix, of Hanover, Caleb J. Haddix, of Hanover; grandson, Brantlee A. Haddix; sister, Lisa M. (Mark) Galentine, of Montoursville; brother, Leland M. Haddix, III, of Naples.

Memorial service will be held 12 p.m. Friday, December 13, at Pine Run Bible Church, 1719 Pine Run Road, Linden, with Pastor Grant W. Helsel officiating. The burial will be private. Friends may call from 11 to 12 p.m. at the church on Friday.
