Jill Ann Lamade, 64, of Loyalsock passed away suddenly at home on Monday, November 25, 2024.
Jill was a loving and dedicated daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She faced and overcame several health challenges during the second half of her life, and later acted as caregiver for her own parents and husband. For her resilience and sacrifice, she was blessed with two loving grandchildren, with whom she shared many joyful moments over the past several months. She had also enjoyed traveling more with her family in recent years and exploring new places and cuisines.
When you think of Jill, remember her with her feet in the sand at the Outer Banks, or as the bubbling hostess at Lamade Christmas parties. Remember her as a South Williamsport band mom and Odyssey of the Mind coach. Remember your favorite of her dozens and dozens of Christmas cookies and her gingerbread houses. Remember how she used to make her famously tasty Swedish meatballs, cucumber cuties, crabies, lasagna, and meatloaf. Think of her reading fantasy novels and science fiction, or playing games of cribbage and “get your neighbor.” Remember her sitting by a campfire, or casting a fishing rod. Picture her with her glamorous perm in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Let her make you laugh with her biting sarcasm. Enjoy a rare steak, or a slice of cheesecake in her honor.
Jill was preceded in death by her father, Tom McIntyre, and her husband, Mike Lamade. Jill will be forever remembered, dearly missed, and is survived by her mother, Diane McIntyre, her daughter, Sarah, her son-in-law, Siva, her grandson, Nilan, and her granddaughter, Navira.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jill’s name to the South Williamsport Band Parent Association or the James V. Brown Library.
