Jeffery Harry Russell, 51

Jeffery Harry Russell, 51, of Hummelstown formerly of Hughesville, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at his home after a 7 month battle with leukemia. Jeffery was born October 6, 1968 in Williamsport and was the son of James and Donna (Bachle) Russell, Jr.

Jeff married Lori J. Boyer on March 4, 2017 in Hawaii. He worked for the Department of Defense for 32 years. Jeff was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hughesville, a charter member of Sons of The American Legion and the Muncy Valley Moose.

Jeff’s children and grandson were the light of his life. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Boston Red Sox fan. He loved hunting and fishing with his family and was always the life of the party. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Jeff is survived by his wife: Lori J. (Boyer) Russell, a daughter, Emily R. and a son, Jacob H. Russell of Lancaster, step-son, Cody R. (Jessie) Johnston of Milton, a grandson, Brickson W. Johnston of Milton, his parents James and Donna (Bachle) Russell, Jr., two brothers, James
(Tammy) Russell, III of Hughesville, Joseph D. (Stacey) Russell of Muncy, and a number of nieces and nephews and by his beloved dog Riley.

A funeral service will be held 12 p.m. on Monday, January 20, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Rev. Bethany Wood and Rev. Doug Mellot officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville. Family and friends will be
received on Monday, from 10 a.m -12 p.m.
