Jeff O’Connor, 67, of Hughesville, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born April 29, 1958, in Muncy, he was the son of Robert and Andrewleen (Sartori) O’Connor. Growing up, Jeff loved working alongside his father, who taught him not only the practical skills of life but also how to be a good and honorable man. His mother was a constant source of love and encouragement, supporting him through every stage of life.

On October 11, 1993, Jeff married the love of his life, Cynthia (Campbell) O’Connor. He cherished her deeply and took great pride in the large, loving family they built together.

A 1976 graduate of Hughesville High School, Jeff spent most of his life self-employed, owning and operating his own business focused on multiple facets of the lumber and forestry industry. He was happiest outdoors, where he could enjoy everything nature had to offer. Jeff was an avid hunter and had a passion for real estate, often investing and acquiring properties.

In addition to his loving wife, Cynthia (Campbell) O’Connor of Hughesville, Jeff is survived by his mother, Andrewleen O’Connor of Hughesville; a sister, Nicole O’Connor of Hughesville; eight children, Laura (Heath) Miller of Hughesville, Henry (Kathleen) O’Connor of Bel Air, MD, Rachael (Nathan) Peruch of Harlingen, TX, Emma (Joseph) Knight of Soldotna, AK, Hiram (Ashley) O’Connor of San Antonio, TX, Levi (Elysia) O’Connor of Layton, UT, Phoebe (Scott) Satchwell of Pocatello, ID, and Sawyer Gideon O’Connor of Fort Bragg, NC; 25 Grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Robert O’Connor; a sister, Holly Romanishan; and a grandson, Giuseppe Peruch.

At Jeff’s request, there will be no public services. Instead, remember him every time you go for a walk in the woods or see a tree standing tall.
