James M. Ray, 31, of Benton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 6, 2024, the same day as his great-nana, Sylvia Bridges.
Born June 18, 1992 he was the son of the late Charles “Mike” Fidler Jr., and Tabitha (Temple) Fidler, of Forksville.
James was a 2010 graduate of Warrior Run High School. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially going fishing and participating in the demo derby and figure eight racing. James was a kind soul, always willing to help others. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed all the time spent with family and friends.
In addition to his mother, Tabitha, he is survived by his four siblings: Thor Fidler, Jacob Hostetter, Carl Hostetter Jr., and Kayleigh Hostetter; paternal grandmother: Linda Fidler; maternal grandparents: Nancy and William “Bill” Ikeler; aunts and uncles: Julie Wiest; Henry and Jennifer Ikeler; Christle and Josh Heverly; Tammy and Josh Leighow; and Jean Fidler; great aunt: Jennifer Hamilton; cousins: Nicole and Amanda Sarvis; six first cousins once removed; and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Besides his father and great nana, he was preceded in death by his sister: Ashley Marie Fidler; grandfather: Charles Fidler Sr.; grandmother: Pauline “Gram” Ray; and uncle: Matt Fidler.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
