James H. “Jim” Trimble, 92, of Trout Run, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, at his home.
Born Feb. 19, 1927, in Trout Run, he was a son of the late Arthur N. Sr. and Gladys Elizabeth (Griggs) Trimble.
Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II . He worked many years at the family owned and operated, Trimble Saw Mill and retired from Overhead Door. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his brother, Franklin G. Trimble (Kaye), of Cogan Station; three sisters, June L. Wagner (Oliver), of New York, Gladys M. Dunkle (Walter), of Jersey Shore, and Barbara A. Kindlimann, of Trout Run; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles A. Trimble, Bruce L. Trimble, William O. Trimble, Robert E. Trimble, and Arthur N. Trimble Jr.; and three sisters, Frances L. Barnard, Adele R. Walters, and Margaret E. Hall.
A funeral service to honor the life of Jim will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Rose Valley Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
