James E. “Jim” Miles, 73, of Williamsport, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at UPMC Williamsport.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Janice (Paulhamus) Miles.

Born Oct. 15, 1950, in Blossburg, he was a son of the late James E. Miles, Sr. and Doris E. (Miles) Vancise.

Jim was retired after many years at West Company in Jersey Shore and he was a former member of the American Legion.

Jim was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and camping. Jim also enjoyed bowling. He loved being the center of attention while cooking and entertaining friends and family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Rick E. Miles of Williamsport, Michael S. Miles of Loyalsock, and Carrie L. Karstetter of Lock Haven; a step-son, Jeremy L. Snook of Linden; four grandchildren, Brittany and Dalton Graham and Elicia and Braden Miles; a great-grandchild, Rowan Risatto; a brother, Donald Miles; his sister, Pamela Maines; and his cherished canine companions, Amigo, Chicka and Meeka.

Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice M. Graham; his brothers, Richard and Theodore Miles; and his sister, Kimberly Law.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
