J. Patrick Plastow, 35 years old, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on January 8, 2025. Born February 17, 1989 in Dushore, PA, he was the beloved son of Dr. Jerome and Aimee Plastow. Patrick was a man whose big heart and jovial spirit left an indelible mark on the souls of all who knew him. He enjoyed an idyllic, small-town childhood, full of many interests and activities such as baseball, basketball, hunting, golfing, skiing, and horseback riding. He spent his high school and college years playing competitive tennis with a tenaciousness that even the most hopeless of matches could not shake. He studied Business with a Marketing concentration at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD. Always ready with ideas, Patrick honed his skills at a marketing firm in New York City during one of his summers. After college graduation, Patrick worked in car sales and then the restaurant business before enlisting in the Army Reserves as a military police officer. He completed basic training, and as a reservist, entered the Metro Nashville Police force. After his time in the military and law enforcement, Patrick circled back to car sales and enjoyed a rewarding career with wonderful clients and colleagues in Murfreesboro, TN.
With his outgoing personality and warmth, he made friends easily. He could be counted on for a light-hearted joke, an entertaining story, and an ever-present listening ear. He had a deep compassion for suffering, always available for anyone struggling and ready with whatever help he could offer. Unlike many, he always favored actions over words. Those qualities are without a doubt what drew his fiancé, Brittany into his life and heart, along with her daughter, Bella and the rest of her family members. He loved cooking, was an avid sports fan, appreciated country music, and was active in his Faith. Patrick was a steady, gentle soul who will be eternally missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Jamee Hiatt and Julee (Jose) Gil; five nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind the family with whom he was building a life, Brittany and Bella King, the Brewer/Watts extended family, and a myriad of friends. He touched so many lives in the short time he had on Earth. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jack and Margaret Conlan and Harold and Jane Plastow, and great-aunt Mary Dieffenbach, all of whom he adored.
Family and friends will be received at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd, Williamsport, PA 17701 on January 16, 2025 from 10 to 11am with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery in Montoursville, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306 or http://www.t2t.org.
Jesus replied to him, “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
