Herbert E. Bright, 81, of Montoursville, died on May 28, 2021, at Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center.
He was born on August 13, 1939, in Milton, son of the late Herbert C. and Gertrude Bright.
Herbert was a Union Steward for Teamsters Union and retired from UPS. He was president of the Williamsport Bowling Association and a member of Eugene Grafius American Legion Post #104.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Sandra J. Criswell.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen W. Bright, of Wisconsin and Craig E. Bright, of Colorado; two sisters, Alice Lovecchio, of Warminster, and Patricia Oakhill, of Shelton, CT.; two grandchildren, Dalton Bright, of Waunakee, WI., and Andrew Bright, of Colorado Springs, CO.; and one great-grandchild, Keegan Bright, of Colorado Springs, CO.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, June 12, 2021, 1:30 p.m., at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, PA 17754 with Rev. David B. Letscher officiating.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
A luncheon will be held at the Eugene Grafius American Legion, 1312 Broad St., Montoursville, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
