Henry W. Roller, 97

Henry W. Roller, 97, of South Williamsport, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at Williamsport North. He was the loving husband to the late Nancy (Houseknecht) Roller, who preceded him in death on August 9, 2021.

Born October 27, 1927, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Clarence W. and Mabel F. (Ziefle) Roller. Henry retired from Stroehmann’s Bakery in 1992 as a stock clerk. Before his career at Stroehmann’s, Henry proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County, Daniel Boone Hunting Club and American Legion. Henry enjoyed traveling to Florida during the winter months and playing cards. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two children, John Roller (Susan Taylor) of Old Fort, N.C. and Connie Yost (Bob) of Dunnellon, Fla.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister Dorothy Ennis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by a son Stephan Roller and four sisters, Mary Spotts, Ruth Roller, Lilian Simpson, and Martha Hummel.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
