Hazel Kriner, 76, of Cogan Station passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023, in her recliner, in her room, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Dennis G. Kriner.
Born August 19 1947, in Williamsport she was one of six daughters of the late Jack Warren and Edna Mae (Smith) Meyer. Hazel will be remembered as fun, loving, and selfless; always putting her family and church before herself. Hazel was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church, where she loved serving her Lord. Her fun side included being an avid player of Scrabble and Words with friends while listening to Elvis. Hazel loved “Saddle-up Saturday’s”, where she would spend an entire day watching old westerns on television.
Surviving are her six children, Robin Fink (David), Dennis “Duke” Kriner, Jr. (Darla), Cathy Hess (John), David Adams (Jenny), Stacy Cammack (Anthony), and Tim Loughery; two sisters, Kim Matthew (Bill) and Cindy Matthews (Faron); thirteen grandchildren, Ethan and Rachel Fink, Phillip and Erik (Amber) Kriner, Paige Lewis (Curtis, Sr.), Jennie and Aaron Hess, Austin and Jacob Adams, Magaly Hazel Mistifer, Zoe, Elias, and Emery Loughery; seven great-grandchildren, Kael, Curtis, Jr., Sage, Preston, Carson, Trinity, Joslynn, and Ryan; and the man she lived with the longest- Ronnie Fuller.
Along with her parents and husband, Hazel was also predeceased by three sisters, Clara Kline, Helen Fuller Eckert, and Jean Meyer.
Funeral services to honor the life of Hazel will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Community Baptist Church, 1853 State Rte. 87, Montoursville, with a meal and time of sharing memories to follow. The family will receive friends prior from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday, December 16, 2023. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2023, at Montoursville Cemetery.
