Hayley R. Montgomery, 18, of Montoursville, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She was born February 14, 2000 in Williamsport a daughter of Christopher M. and Mindy Ward Montgomery.

Hayley was currently a senior at Montoursville High School where she had been an active Cheerleader for the past 13 years. She was accepted to attend Lycoming College where she planned to study in the Criminal Justice field. She enjoyed time with her family and friends, shopping, and was an avid sports fan.

She was predeceased by her beloved Pap, Richard Montgomery.

In addition to her parents, Hayley is survived by her paternal grandmother, Jane Montgomery of Montoursville; maternal grandparents, James W. and Cheryl Ward of Linden; Maternal great grandmother Marie Welteroth of Williamsport; brother Brayden and sister Makena, both at home, along with aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St. Montoursville with the Rev. Jerry Uppling officiating. Interment will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery. A viewing for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
