Harriet B. Sweitzer, 99, of Jersey Shore, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Nippenose Valley Village. She was born on December 18, 2020 in Oriole to the late Verus R. and Carrie C. (Cowher) Fenstermaker.

Harriet was a member of Oriole United Methodist Church. She worked as a bookkeeper at Sweitzer Auto Repair for 35 years. She was also a wonderful homemaker and loved to bake and can. Some of her favorite pastimes were crocheting and reading. Harriet loved to spend time with her family.

Harriet is survived by a son, Steven V. (Debra) Sweitzer, Jersey Shore; a daughter, Camille C. (Ron) Bowen, Jersey Shore; three grandchildren, Rick (Teresa) Persun, Georgetown, Texas; Carrie (Aaron) Hager, Jersey Shore; and Travis (Jodie) Chappel, Jersey Shore; five great grandchildren, Cody Persun, Kyleigh and Hadley Hager and Landon and Ryland Chappel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Harriet is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ned N. Sweitzer, a son, Bobby Sweitzer, three brothers, Jack, Reverend William and Jesse Fenstermaker and three sisters, Elizabeth Downin, Edith Farley and Helen Boyer.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, September 14, at Limestone Cemetery, 1900 PA-880, Jersey Shore, PA 17740 with Pastor Max Furman officiating.
