Harold W. Woodley, 85, of Williamsport, died peacefully, Saturday December 15, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport. Surviving is his loving wife of 65 years Edith E. (Holtzinger) Woodley.
Born September 1, 1933 in Muncy, he was a son to the late Harry A. and Grace E. (Gottschall) Woodley.
He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Following the military he worked for 40 years at Conrail before his retirement. He enjoyed camping, card playing, traveling, and hunting with his sons. Harold was a member of the Dietrick Lamade Masonic Lodge #755 and South Williamsport Fire Department where he had served as chief.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Debra L. Young (Kent) of South Williamsport, Harold Douglas Woodley (Maureen) of Draper UT, David A. Woodley (Cheryl) of South Williamsport and Dwight A. Woodley (Amy) of South Williamsport, 12 Grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and two sisters Jean Garvick of South Williamsport and Eleanor Passino of Williamsport.
A funeral service to honor the life of Harold will be held at 1:30 pm Friday, December 21, 2018 at St. Paul-Calvary United Methodist Church, 1427 Memorial Ave, Williamsport. A viewing will be held from 12:30 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy, with military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County.
