Harold W. Karge, 91, of Montoursville, passed away unexpectedly on June 5th, 2022 at UPMC Susquehanna.
He was born May 30, 1931 in Laporte, son of Raymond W. and Ruth (Foust) Karge.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Patricia A. Criswell; daughter, Susan (Robert) Reichley of Boalsburg; brother, Arthur Karge of Picture Rocks; grandchildren, Eric (Jenna) Reichley, and Jessica (Lenny) Luke; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly and William Murphy; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Harold retired from the engineering department of Bethlehem Steel Corporation. After retirement he spent many years refinishing antique furniture and repairing antique clocks. He and Pat enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets, and spending long weekends at Seneca Lake with family. Harold really enjoyed being in the great outdoors whether it be hunting, hiking, or just mowing grass.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, JoAnn Karge; brothers, Raymond, Lynn, and Leo; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale and Angie Criswell; and sister-in-law, Jean Stine.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in Montoursville Cemetery.
Family will provide the flowers.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
