Glenna M. Bogart, 76

Glenna M. Bogart, 76, of Montoursville, died Sept. 12, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center.

She was born June 19, 1946, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late John (Jack) D. and Thelma (Ruhl) McEwen.

Glenna was a graduate of Montoursville High School in 1964 and Lock Haven University in 1968. She taught school at Loyalsock Valley Elementary School and then raised her family. Afterwards she was the secretary at Faith United Methodist Church until her retirement. She was a member of Montoursville Presbyterian Church, John Burrows Historical Society, and donated time and was past president of the Friends of Konkle Library. She was an avid card player and was famous for card sending on every occasion. Not only was she a loving and devoted wife, mother, and nana, she was kind and generous to anyone she ever met.

Surviving is her husband of 53 years Maynard W. Bogart; daughters, Crystal M. Gilbert (Ronald Beckman, Jr) of Montoursville and Alison J. (James P. II) Lawracy of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren, Olivia, Tyler, Emma, and Ryan; and Sara who was like a step-grandchild.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville with family friend, Ronald O. Doan officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Konkle Library 384 Broad St. Montoursville or Montoursville Presbyterian Church 205 Tule St. Montoursville.
