Gerald L. “Jerry” Ulmer, 74

Gerald L. “Jerry” Ulmer, 74, of Turbotville, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.

Born January 8, 1951 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Pierson and Dettiebelle (Westbrook) Ulmer. On December 27, 2000 he married the former Angela M. Yocum and together they celebrated 24 years of marriage.

Jerry was a 1969 graduate of Montoursville High School and served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at IA Construction and later worked for Trimble Construction.

He was a member of the Turbotville VFW Post 8206. Jerry enjoyed wood working, mowing grass, and being a general handyman. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Angela, he is survived by one son: Gerald Joseph Ulmer, of Washington DC; one daughter: Julie Brewer and her companion Dave Frye, of Elimsport; three step-sons: Charles Kepner, of Watsontown, Matthew Kepner, of North Carolina, and Ronald Kepner and his wife Jennifer, of California; five grandchildren: Matthew, Wayne Jr, Blake, Harris, and Katy Brewer; two step-grandchildren: Hailey and Hayden Kepner; three great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Emily, and Levi Brewer; one brother: Roger Ulmer and his wife Crissie, of Colorado; two sisters: Marline Peppermint and her husband Don, of Montoursville, and Karen Harding and her husband Tony, of Williamsport; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Sara Nicole Brewer; and brother: Keith Ulmer.

There will be a viewing held from Noon to 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville.
