George W. Schroyer, 91, of Montoursville, died Oct. 16, 2022 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.
He was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Trevorton, a son of the late Walter and Evelyn (Portzline) Schroyer.
George retired from the former Schnadig Corp., was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War, a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, and enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his twin brother, William.
Surviving is his wife of 66 years the former Betty J. Erdman; daughters, Sheree L. (Robert) Wright of Montoursville and Jane L. (Kevin) Mariano of Turbotville; sisters, Dolores Miller of Harrisburg and Joan Schwartz of Milton; grandsons, Michael (Nichole) Neff and Cody Wright; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Andrew, Adelyn, and Isabella.
Family and friends will be received from 10 – 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St. Montoursville. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Marie E. Lewis officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family
