Genevieve Z. Middleton, 87, of Watsontown, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at her home.
Born June 10, 1937 in West Wyoming, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Pauline (Zelinsky) Zielinski. On March 1, 1958 she married Richard L. Middleton and together they celebrated 55 years of marriage until his passing on March 9, 2013.
She was a graduate of Montandon High School, and then went on to graduate from Bloomsburg University and Geisinger Medical Nursing School. Genevieve worked at Muncy State Prison, Kramm’s Nursing Home in Watsontown, and Montgomery High School as a registered nurse.
Also, she enjoyed working at the Middleton Farm and was the owner of the Middleton Craft Store.
She is survived by a four sons and daughters-in-laws: James and Wendy Middleton of Watsontown; John and Cindy Middleton of Mill Hall; Thomas and Pam Middleton of Wilkes-Barre; William Middleton and Loice Swisher of Sanford, FL; daughter-in-law: Donna Middleton of Milton; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister: Patricia Shivley and her husband Steve, of Sunrise, FL.
Besides her parents and husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Middleton.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no services held at this time.
