Gail V. Brungart, 69, of Williamsport passed peacefully Saturday October 12, 2019 at her home with her husband by her side.
Born July 14, 1950 in Sunbury, she was a daughter of the late George N. and Jeanette I. (Miller) Vought.
Gail was a 1968 graduate of Shikellamy High School and received her associate’s degree from Williamsport Area Community College. She worked at Cornerstone Family Health for many years and also as a medical transcriptionist from home.
Gail had a passion for tennis, was a member of the West Branch Tennis League and enjoyed many years of playing tennis with Pam. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and tending to her flower beds at home. She found great joy when her grandkids would come to visit. Gail fought valiantly with Parkinson’s disease for 11 years, during this time she organized the local Parkinson’s support group and helped to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation.
Surviving is her husband with whom she shared 34 years of her life with, Larry L. Brungart; her mother, Jeanette I. Vought; her children, James M. Dowling (Melanie), Andrea M. Doriano (Pasquale), Trevor Brungart (Cassy), and Heather Brungart; 7 grandchildren, Ainsley, Ava, Jacob, Isabella, Levi, Autumn, and Karrelle; her siblings, George Vought, Jr. (Stephanie), Jay Vought (Tami), and Joyce Gilbert (David).
A private gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gail’s many caregivers and Susquehanna Home Health nurses. Gail’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Denise for her many years of care, love, compassion and kindness.
