Frederick R. “Fred” Rovenolt, 74

Frederick R. “Fred” Rovenolt, 74, of Trout Run, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.

Fred was married on November 29, 1968 to the former Diana L. (Yoder), who survives, and they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in November.

Fred was born on May 28, 1943 in McEwensville, the son of the late Glenn and Ruth (Snyder) Rovenolt. He graduated from Warrior Run High School then graduated from Williamsport Technical Institute in Graphic Arts and Printing. He worked for 42 years at Bethlehem Steel/Williamsport Wire Rope. Fred was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and the Elk Run Hunting Club. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and working on small engines.

In addition to his wife, Diana, he is survived by two sons; Jason G. Rovenolt (Shayna) and Eric D. Rovenolt, all of Trout Run, one granddaughter; Jaisa B. Rovenolt and two brothers; George Rovenolt (Pat) of Lewisburg and W. John “Jack” Rovenolt of Williamsport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; David G. Rovenolt.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trout Run Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 115, Trout Run, PA 17771 or the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Arrangements are being handled by the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.
