Faye R. Konkle, 81, of Montoursville, passed away on September 6, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center.
She was born on June 11, 1940, in Opp, the daughter of the late Warren and Orel (Temple) Rider.
Faye was a member of the Montoursville Presbyterian Church, where she was a Trustee and Elder, and sang in the choir for many years. She had worked for the former Cooper, Everett, Blessing Insurance Agency, and was a member of the Montoursville Fire Company for 10 years. Along with Judy Shimp, she served retiree lunches at the church for nine years, she loved to travel and loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded by a brother, Larry Rider.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald E. Konkle, Sr; sons, Donald E. Konkle, Jr., of Montoursville; Scott W. (Lisa) Konkle, of Montoursville; Craig D. (Joyce) Konkle, of Montoursville; brother, Wayne (Ann) Rider, of Hughesville; sister, Kathy (Harvey) Stauffer, of Muncy; sister, Nancy (Bill) Jones, of Montoursville; sister-in-law, Judy Rider, of Muncy; seven grandchildren, Hunter (Emily), Walker (Emily), Janelle, Joshua, Rider, Parker, and Remember Konkle and two great-grandchildren, Ella and Grayson.
There will be a graveside service at 11a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Montoursville Cemetery with Rev. David C. Smith officiating.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 205 Tule Street, Montoursville, PA 17754.
