Elsie P. Schriner, 98

Elsie P. Schriner, 98, of Williamsport, met her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 4, 2020 after being hospitalized with complications from Covid-19.

She was born on February, 21, 1922, in Williamsport, the daughter of William and Nellie (Grier) Schleh and was the nineth of their 10 children.

Elsie worked as a secretary for personnel at Avco (now Textron-Lycoming) until the birth of her daughter. She enjoyed sewing and spending time at their winter residence in Leesburg, Florida.

Elsie and her husband, Donald were members of Fairlawn Community Church and were very involved with all building projects associated with the church including design and construction of the former parsonage, and the current sanctuary building we worship in currently.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Schriner and siblings, William, Lester, and James Schleh, Helen Clark, Laura Walters, Grace Ripka, Ruth Breon and Anna Reid; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thelma (Max) Feehrer, Mary Fowler and Kenneth Schriner, Sr.

She is survived by one sister, Lois Boyer, of Washington, daughter, Debra (Mike) Cillo, of Cogan Station and one grandson Bradley (Clarissa) Reed, of Greencastle. She was also very close to her many nieces and nephews but especially Kathy (Rev. Clarence) Croscutt, of Washington, and Jeff (Leslie) Schaefer, of Williamsport, whom she helped her sister raise after the untimely death of their faither.

A life celebration will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given towards the new Fairlawn Community Center c/o Fairlawn Community Church Building Fund, 353 Pleasant Valley Road, Cogan Station, PA 17728.

Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
