Elizabeth Stark Logue, 88

Our beloved Mother, Elizabeth Stark Logue, peacefully passed away on June 30, 2022 in the home she and her husband built and raised their 10 children in. She was born on December 9, 1933 in Sayville New York. The daughter of German immigrant parents, she was the middle child in a family of three girls. She had fond memories of growing up and playing paper dolls with her sisters.

She met her future husband George on a babysitting trip to the Logue Farm in the mountains of Cascade over the Fourth of July 1953. They married 7 months later. Together they built the construction company George E. Logue Inc., with her keeping the books and him out working the business. By the time she was 30, she had 8 of her 10 children.

The most important thing to Elizabeth was family. Every summer there would be extra cousins for weeks on end staying with the family. She was a beautiful artist. Her favorite thing to draw and paint was also her favorite thing, babies and children. She was happiest either holding a baby or hearing of a new baby that would be joining the family. In 2019 she did what she called her “Kindness Project”. Every day for 365 days she sent friends and families a card. When she ran out of people she knew, she asked her children for addresses of their friends so she could send them a card. In 2010 she started a monthly newsletter about the family. She was in the process of writing her 133rd newsletter when she passed. In February she sent 28 birthday cards to loved ones, family was everything to her.

Elizabeth has 75 descendants. Surviving are 8 children, Robert Logue (Jacqueline) of Trout Run, Kate Kissell (Craig) of State College, George Logue Jr of Montoursville, Patricia Driver (John) of Lewisburg, Carolyn Martin (Dr. Rick) of York, Anna von Marburg (Dr. Roland) of Australia, Amy (Thomas) of Montoursville and Hugh Logue of Trout Run. She was the proud grandmother of 37 grandchildren, Joe Choate, Lindsay Naporano, Damon Kissell, Alexei Kissell, Cody Kissell, Taylor Kissell, Katarina Massaro, Isabelle Logue, Meredith Traynor, Lydia Lauria, Robert Logue, Eric Martin, Claudia Morrissey, Elliot Martin, Cassidy Mayo, George Logue III, Jack von Marburg, Georgina von Marburg, Lucy von Marburg, Mary von Marburg, Frank von Marburg, Gus von Marburg, Joseph von Marburg, Max von Marburg, Meggie Logue, Caroline McNamara, Grace Hueber, Elizabeth McNamara and Shannon Logue.
