Edith E. “Eloise” Woodley, 86, of South Williamsport, died peacefully, Sunday, August 18, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Harold W. Woodley on December 15, 2018.
Born April 10, 1933 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Lewis T. and Edith R. (Costigan) Holtzinger.
Eloise was a Williamsport High School graduate and a member of St. Paul-Calvary United Methodist Church. She previously worked at Bell Telephone Company and was also a seamstress. She enjoyed camping, card playing, traveling, and sewing. Most of all Eloise loved and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are four children, Debra L. Young (Kent) of South Williamsport, Harold Douglas Woodley (Maureen) of Draper UT, David A. Woodley (Cheryl) of South Williamsport and Dwight A. Woodley (Amy) of South Williamsport, 12 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis T. Holtzinger, Jr.
A funeral service to honor the life of Eloise will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 30 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at Sanders Mortuary.
