Douglas S. Holland, 56

Douglas S. Holland, 56, formerly of Williamsport, passed away September 2, 2018 at his residence in Allentown.

He was born April 3, 1962, in Holyoke, MA, the son of Raymond A. Holland and Barbara V. (DeArimitt) Hinston.

Doug will be remembered as an avid hunter, fisherman, and exemplary painter and home restorer, having a passion for writing poetry and reading, especially history and Civil War. He was a woodworker, a good cook, and always enjoyed a good laugh and happy times. He will be missed by many.

Doug was predeceased by his sister, Robin Starr, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Doug is survived by his father, Raymond and step mother, Linda; his mother, Barbara and step father, Richard. In addition he is survived by his three children, John Holland, Melissa Holland, and Jacob Holland; his two sisters, Relene (Lewis) Miller, and Lynette (John) Bonner, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 08, 2018 at the Northway Presbyterian Church, 1520 Northway Rd., Williamsport with Rev. Mark Passmore officiating. Friends will be received from 10:30– 11a.m. at the church.
