Dorothy M. Sweeley, 97, of Williamsport, died peacefully, Monday, August 10, 2020 at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.

Born in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Helen Irene (Jacobs) Yeagle. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert E. Sweeley on Dec. 7, 2014, a sister Martha Zimmerman and a grandson Chad Cohick.

She was a 1941 graduate of Williamsport High School. Dorothy was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, and gardening and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. Dorothy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters; Nancy Kohler (Lou Huther) of Williamsport, Donna Phillips (Robert) of Hughesville, and Helen Blank of Elimsport; two sons Donald Sweeley of Enola and Frank Sweeley of North Carolina, eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Twin Hills Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name may be made to Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o The Gatehouse 1001 Grampian Blvd. Williamsport, PA 17701.
