Doris L. Puderbaugh, 92, formerly of Picture Rocks, died on November 12, 2019, at Valley View Nursing Center.
She was born June 30, 1927, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Fox) Puderbaugh.
Doris was a graduate of Fordham University. She spent 13 years as Franciscan with Last Mission in East Harlem, 13 years as Director of Social Services at the former Williamsport Hospital, and later at Head Start of Lycoming and Clinton Counties. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church, German Club, and D.A.R., where she was also a past secretary. She enjoyed genealogy and helping others with theirs, and reading the newspaper for the blind.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise Orr.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 22, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 75 Musser Lane, Muncy, with Rev. Glenn McCreary V.F. as celebrant. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701 or Franciscan Missionaries of Mary c/o Sr. Mary Petrosky F.M.M., 204 West 97th Street, New York, NY 10025.
