Donna L. Thomas, 87, of Jersey Shore, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Williamsport Home.

Donna was born on August 20, 1936 in Jersey Shore, the daughter of the late Col. Russel L. and Lara “Sally” (Cooper) Thomas. She had graduated from Jersey Shore High School. For many years, she owned and operated Donna’s Flower Shop in Jersey Shore. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jersey Shore and long-time member of the Amaranth. She enjoyed children, especially her grandchildren and she had done a lot with kids in conjunction with her flower shop. She also enjoyed spending time on the family farm.

Donna is survived by one daughter; Vicki D. Sutton (Richard W.) of Jersey Shore, one son; Thomas E. Whitman (Cathy) of New Cumberland, five grandchildren; Heather N. Peters-Bilbay (Jason) of Lock Haven, Amanda R. Peters of Lock Haven, Benjamin P. Peters (Savannah) of Beech Creek, Ahren T. Whitman (Chelsea) of Cranberry Township and Tayler K. Whitman of Williamsport and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter; Randi Lea Peters.

In keeping with Donna’s wishes, services will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsport Home, 1900 Ravine Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
