Donna K. (Engelman) Wein, 75

Donna K. (Engelman) Wein, 75, of Duboistown went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at home surrounded by family.

Born September 4, 1949, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late William C. and Anna Jane (Giltner) Engelman.

Donna graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1967. Throughout her life, she held a variety of jobs in the Williamsport area, but found the greatest joy during her ten year career at C.A. Reed, where she eventually retired.

Donna had a heart that overflowed with love, and nothing brought her more joy than shopping for her grandchildren and finding the perfect Christmas gifts for those she cherished.

Her happiest days were spent camping with loved ones, playing cards, capturing memories through photography, and pouring her creativity into scrapbooking and crafts. She had a special gift for making things beautiful, whether it was through her love of flowers, gardening, or the way she lovingly cared for her home.

A former member of Duboistown United Methodist Church, Donna was active in the church choir. She later became a devoted member of South Williamsport United Methodist Church, where she cherished her time performing with her family in the Bell Choir, a true source of pride and happiness for her. She also poured her heart into Vacation Bible School at both churches, where her love for children truly shined.

Donna will be remembered for her contagious smile, infectious laughter, and the kindness she so freely gave. She had the largest, most generous heart, one that embraced everyone she met. But more than anything, she deeply loved her family, and being a grandmother was one of her life’s greatest blessings.

Surviving is her devoted husband of 56 years, Richard A. Wein; three cherished children, Stephanie Wein of South Williamsport, Jenifer Persun (Steven) of South Williamsport, and Jason Wein (Amy) of Williamsport. She also lovingly raised her two grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua, and is survived by a total of ten treasured grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Debbie Porter (Glenn) of Baltimore, MD, Dennis Engelman (Cathy) of Philadelphia, Daniel Engelman, and Deanna Engleman both of Duboistown; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor Donna’s life will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 8 at South Williamsport U.M.C., 409 Main St., South Williamsport. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Tuesday, at church.
