Donna G. Jopson, 82, of Montoursville, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at The Gatehouse in Williamsport. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on January 22, 1942 to the late William L. Holbert and Willie Mai Jackson.
Donna was Christian by faith. In her younger years, she worked for the FBI, as a homemaker, sewing clothes for her children, then with her husband, James, refurbishing furniture. Donna loved to garden, landscape and design. She was obsessed with flowers, liked to read her gardening books and watch HGTV. In her youth, Donna was a very active synchronized swimmer and recently used swimming as part of her physical therapy. She frequently visited the American Rescue Workers to browse and shop.
Donna is survived by a son, Nicholas Cardennis; three daughters, Rebecca Taylor of Montoursville; Suzette Cardennis of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Melissa Miller of Washington, D.C.; eight grandchildren; Corey Perchinski, Marilyn Hall, Ryan Anne Bess, Jordan Ashley Cardennis, Nicholas Cardennis, Daniel Cardennis, Mathew and Samuel Taylor; great-grandchildren, Alaska, Tripp, Tuff, Cruz, Jerzy, Emery, Vera, Mytis, Thaddeus, Adonis, Ava, Kade, Ethan and Ciera; and a sister, Cynthia.
In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, James Jopson and a grandson, Alex Cardennis.
