Donald L. Rodriguez, 66, of McEwensville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2020.
Born January 22, 1954 in Somers Point, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Mary and Robert Dilworth. On July 25, 1981 he married the former Janet L. Wright and they celebrated 37 years of marriage until her death on April 28, 2019.
He was a 1972 graduate of Sullivan County High School and was employed at the PPL plant in Washingtonville until retiring in 2014.
Donald was an active member of the Watsontown Alliance Church.
He was the acting president of the Lord’s Disciples CMA Chapter #384, a former president of the McEwensville Borough, and was a veteran of the US Navy, honorably serving our country for four years.
Surviving are a daughter, Amanda R. Rodriguez of McEwensville; a son, Robert T. Rodriguez of Danville; a sister, Charlotte M. Rodriguez of Dushore; a sister-in-law, Susan Rodriguez of South Carolina, and nieces Emily (Len), Kate, and Libby,all of South Carolina.
Preceding him in death besides his wife, Janet L. Rodriguez, were a daughter, Renee L. Rodriguez and a brother, Jim R. Rodriguez.
Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Watsontown Alliance Church, 1165 Eighth Street Drive, Watsontown where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Donald Jones and Pastor Scott Bartholomew officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Donald’s memory be made to Watsontown Alliance Church for the Rodriguez Family Memorial Fund.
