Donald “Huffy” H. Huff, 56, of Linden, passed away at his home, Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly. Huffy was born in Jersey Shore, Oct. 20, 1961 to Ronald L. and Arlene S. (Mowery) Huff-Yackel.
Huffy graduated from Williamsport High School in 1979. He was employed as a foreman in construction for many years with Glenn O. Hawbakers, Inc. Huffy was an outdoorsman, who had an infinite passion for hunting; recently, he was able to achieve his lifelong dream of bagging a big Elk. Huffy was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, one of his favorites things to do on a weekend afternoon was to watch the game with his kids, Chelsey and Logan. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and loved his dogs Tucker and Remi. Huffy was like a gentle giant who loved his children and spending time with family and friends; especially his sweet little granddaughter, Violet.
Huffy is survived by two children; Chelsey Huff, of Linden, Logan Huff (Alex Fisher) of Williamsport,
a granddaughter, Violet Bea Huff. He is also survived by his mother, Arlene, His special friend, Joy Ketchum, two brothers, Steve Huff (Brenda), of Buckhorn and Roger Huff, of Jersey Shore; one sister, Sally Brown. He is also survived by two special friends who were more like brothers to Huffy, Ray Smith and Eugene Entz.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A Tribute of Life Service will be held Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at 8:00 PM at Crossroads Church, 1454 PA-44, Jersey Shore. Visitation for family and friends will be at the church from 5 pm to 8 pm. Pastor John Phillips will be officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore.
