Dillon James Torok, 32, of Muncy, died Thursday, October 10, 2024, at UPMC Williamsport. Born November 28, 1991, in Williamsport, he was a son of James Torok, Jr. and Lisa (Clayton) Torok, of Muncy.
Dillon fought a courageous battle against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy since childhood, but never let his disability get in his way, and was involved in Scouts all through grade school. He graduated from Muncy High School in 2010 and attended Penn College for a while. Dillon enjoyed writing since he was in high school, even becoming a self-published author, but music was his real passion. He had his own sound system for a couple of years, but when leaving the house became more difficult, he shifted his focus to producing music and mentoring young musicians. Dillon has an impressive catalog of music curating a section of mostly rock and metal music, hosting “Wicked Loon Radio” under the persona of “Killerbeat Dill”.
Dillon was a charismatic, talented, humorous, and very talkative person, ready to hold a conversation with just about anybody, and he could make light of most situations with a few jokes. His talent was plain to see in everything he did, given enough time he could accomplish things that seemed impossible from an outside perspective that didn’t know him. Dillon will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Surviving in addition to his parents, is a brother, Blake Torok, of Muncy; a maternal grandfather, Dale Clayton, of Muncy; a paternal grandmother, Patricia Torok, of Hughesville; four aunts, Lori (Steve) Winn, of Bloomsburg, Lori (Jerry) DeCuio, of S Williamsport, Yvonne (Tom) Steinruck, of Muncy, and Jennifer (Ken) Snauffer, of Muncy; and numerous cousins.
Dillon was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James R. Torok, Sr., and his maternal grandmother, Janice Clayton.
