Dianne A. “Nanny” (Vogelsong) Savage, 78

Dianne A. “Nanny” (Vogelsong) Savage, 78, of Hughesville, Pennsylvania went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born October 13, 1945, in Enola, PA, she was a daughter of Donald Vogelsong and Philena Vogelsong (Fordney). She and her husband, James A. Savage shared a wonderful 57 years of marriage together before his passing on April 3rd, 2022. Dianne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed going to yard sales, thrift shopping, playing bingo and spending time with her family. She graduated from East Pennsboro Area High School. Dianne and James also spent time at the Muncy Vineyard Community Activity Center, in which they were the founders of. She was previously employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Muncy Valley Hospital. She also worked for the PA Liquor Control Board. Dianne was also very committed to the New Life Church where she was a 50-year member.

She is survived by nine children: James (Julie) Savage of Hughesville, Matthew (Tammy) Savage of Muncy, Michael (Tara) Savage, of Picture Rocks, Daniel (Tessie) Savage of Milton, LeAnn (Ron) Dunkleberger of Muncy, Patricia (Michael) Higley of Hughesville, Jennifer (Kent McLean) Savage of Hughesville, Faith (Joshua) Avery, of Hughesville, and Jamie Moore of Hughesville; thirty-one grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; and three brothers: Philip (Carrie) Vogelsong of Benezette, Casey Vogelsong and Donald Vogelsong, both of Enola.

Dianne was preceded in death by her son, James A. Savage, Jr., in infancy.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at New Life Church, 1006 Village Road, Pennsdale with Pastor Robert A. Lauver, officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
