Diana Elizabeth Zeigler, 67

Diana Elizabeth Zeigler, 67, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at her home. Diana is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Daniel F. Zeigler.

Born April 18, 1956, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late, Leon G. and Rosena E. (Plank) Haines.

Diana was a graduate of Williamsport Area High School, class of 1974. She furthered her education at Lycoming College, where she received a bachelor’s degree in education. Diana’s passion for teaching led her to a fulfilling career at Mifflinburg Elementary School, where she mostly taught 1st grade. Her dedication to her students and her love for teaching left a lasting impact on countless young lives.

Diana was a woman of faith and a devoted member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She found joy in playing the organ, had a knack for crafting, often spending her free time making baskets and blankets. She was an avid viewer of the Hallmark Channel, finding comfort and joy in its heartwarming stories. Diana’s headstrong nature was a testament to her resilience and determination, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her.

Above all, Diana cherished her role as a mother. Her twin daughters, Anna E. Zeigler of Scranton and Laura R. Zeigler of Harrisburg, were the light of her life. Diana’s selfless nature and unwavering love were evident in her dedication to her family. She also shared a special bond with her dogs, Bella and the late Claire, who brought additional joy to her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her aunt, Anna K. Plank.

A funeral service to honor the life of Diana will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 30 at St. Mark,s Lutheran Church 142 Market St, Williamsport with the Rev. Brian D. Vasey officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
