Dennis Ray Bunce, Sr., 79, of 3171 Northway Road, Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, September 18th, 2024, at Celebration Villa of Loyalsock.

Born October 6th, 1944, in Montoursville, he was the son of the late Clyde and Callie Bunce.

He married his high school sweetheart, and love of his life, Joyce Ann Ghalib, December 24, 1965. She predeceased him in 2007.

Growing up, Dennis helped his father at the popular Bunce produce stand in Montoursville. He served in the United States Army from July 1965 to July 1971. He served as a heavy highway construction worker for the Labor Union until he retired.

Dennis loved to hunt and fish and was an avid bottle collector. He enjoyed spending time with his family, the family dogs, and enjoying the simple things in life.

Dennis is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Lora Bunce of Loyalsock; his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Gordon Turner of Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Barb Bunce of Florida; and three grandchildren, Chaz Bunce (Kayla), Briana Turner, and Gordon Turner III.

He was also predeceased by three brothers, Robert “Bob” Bunce, Gary Bunce, and Clyde “Butch” Bunce.

Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 5,2024 in Montoursville Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Howard Woodruff officiating.
