Dennis C. Foust, 71, of Wilkes Barre, formerly of Muncy Valley, died Friday, March 22, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Born August 1, 1952, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Clyde and Elizabeth (Sheets) Foust. He was a 1970 graduate of Hughesville High School, and graduated in 1974 from Penn State University, State College, with a bachelor’s degree in education. Dennis had worked at Sullivan County High School as a substitute teacher early in his career. Prior to his retirement he was employed as the head of quality control at Savoy Manufacturing, Montoursville. He also worked at Peterman Lumber, Picture Rocks, and at the Nittany Mart in Sonestown for many years.

Dennis pitched for Picture Rocks in the Intermediate Baseball League. He enjoyed reading and doing puzzles, and rooting for his favorite teams including Penn State, the New York Yankees, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the New York Giants. Dennis was a loving and caring brother and uncle and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving are three brothers, David Foust, of Wilkes Barre, Douglas Foust, of Dushore, and Donald (Victoria) Foust, of Dushore; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Foust, Felicia (Shane) Bayak, Kenzie (Roger) Talada, Jill (Aaron) Benjamin, Craig (Maira) Foust, Brock (Deanna) Boyer; and numerous grand nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Walter Foust.

In keeping with his wishes, funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
