Deborah D. Britton, 69

Deborah D. Britton, 69, of Linden, passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at home. Surviving is her loving husband, Bruce A. Britton, whom she married on July 13, 1984 and together they shared 40 blissful years.

Born August 31, 1954, in Warren, OH, she was a daughter of the late Gradaleat Ross and George and Barbara Bozmoff.

For many years, Deb served as a waitress at Bridge Tavern, Perkins, and Red Lobster, where her outgoing personality and friendly demeanor made her a favorite among customers. It was common for guests to enter these establishments and specifically request to be seated at Deb’s tables, often willing to wait for the opportunity to be served by her. Her ability to connect with people over a simple meal was nothing short of remarkable, turning first-time diners into regulars and regulars into friends.

Beyond her professional life, Deb was a woman of many passions. She cherished long drives and the beach, especially The Outer Banks. Travel was one of her greatest pleasures, and she seized every opportunity to explore new places. Her adventurous spirit was shared with her dear husband, Bruce, with whom she embarked on two significant trips out west. Together, they discovered the many wonders of the western United States, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

A nature enthusiast, Deb found solace in the simple joy of watching hummingbirds and orioles dance around her garden. She also possessed a remarkable talent for sewing, creating beautiful quilts that were not only works of art but also expressions of her love and creativity.

Deb was the embodiment of kindness, always extending a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need. Her friendly nature was not just a trait but a way of life, and she approached every interaction with genuine interest and an open heart.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Monty Britton (Lisa) of Drake, CO, and Jason Britton (Olivia) of Denver, CO; a grandson, Cullen; her siblings, Ann Rafferty (Jack), Holly Bozmoff, George “Butch” Bozmoff (Mary), and Tammy Moss; her siblings-in-law, Lamar Britton and Rhonda Britton; and several nieces and nephews.

As per her wishes, no services will be held.

Memorial donations in Deb’s name may be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
