Deanna M. Bitner, 73, of Beech Creek, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at her home.
She was born in Lock Haven on April 8, 1947, the daughter of the late Harold and Betty Kissel Shoemaker.
Deanna was a 1965 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
On June 14, 1969 at the Swissdale United Methodist Church, she married Daniel K. Bitner, who survives.
Deanna retired in 2009 from Brodart in Newberry as a Data Entry Specialist after 22 years of service.
She was a member of Flemington United Methodist Church.
Deanna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and adored the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, John (Brandi) Bitner of Mill Hall; five siblings, John (Marie) Shoemaker of McElhattan, Yvonne (Diane) Shoemaker of Canada, Harold (Kathy) Shoemaker, Jr. of Swissdale, Crystal (Tim) Fye of Flemington and Lori (Craig) Buskirk of Beech Creek; four grandchildren, Lauryn, James, John and Jacob; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Serafini.
A memorial service will be scheduled and announced at a later time.
Deanna will be laid to rest at Hayes-Fearon Cemetery, Beech Creek.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the ALS Foundation.
