David L. Strasburg, 100, of Eldred Township, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at his residence.
He was born February 25, 1920, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Jesse and Irene Strasburg.
He retired from Avco/Lycoming, now Textron. He was a lifelong member of Warrensville Baptist Church; David was an accomplished ice skater in his young adult life and tried out for the Ice Capades. He was accepted but then decided not to pursue that opportunity. He also enjoyed motorcycles, cars and Nascar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters; and a brother.
Surviving is his wife of 72 years, the former S. Jane Waltz; daughter, Grace I. (Arnold) Taylor; three grandchildren, Mackensie (Samuel) Polys, Amber Mazzante, Jesse (Kathleen) Taylor; and four great-grandchildren, Jesse, Braedon, Alexander and Abigail.
There will be no services.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
