David Kirk Tate, 57, of Mill Hall and recently residing in North Carolina, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport.

Born May 26, 1962 in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Frederick and Pauline (Thompson) Tate.

Dave was a 1980 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School. He then attended Embry Riddle School of Aeronautics and later Keiser College of Business, earning his Bachelor Degree in Business Management.

He was employed at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, North Carolina.

Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing and was also an avid golfer.

Surviving are two children, Amanda (Scott) Wian and Connor Tate, both of Lock Haven; a granddaughter, Madisyn Wian; a brother, Frederick Tate, Jr. of FL; a sister, Tanya (Steve) Daniels of Mill Hall; two step-children, Lindsay Douglas and Tyler White, both of GA; his nephews and niece: Brian (Lundy), Doug (Sherri) and Jon Daniels and Alex and Rachael Tate; his girlfriend, Donna Barci of N.C.; and many great nephews and nieces.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa 17745. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
