David A. Rupert, 70

David A. Rupert, 70, of Muncy Creek Township, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Gatehouse in Divine Providence Hospital with his family by his side. He was born February 7, 1948 in Muncy the son of the late Harold C. “Time” and Doris H. “Dorie” Heincelman Rupert.

Dave retired as Road Master for Muncy Creek Township and as supervisor for the Township where he served for over 30 years. He helped organize the West Branch Council of Government and served as its first Chairman for many years. He was a member of the Greenwood Valley Hunting Club; the Muncy F&A.M. Lodge 299, was an active member of the Muncy American Legion Post 268 S.A.L. and the Muncy V.F.W. Post 3428. He enjoyed traveling, going to the shore, hunting and fishing.

Dave is survived by his wife of 17 years the former Connie L. Fairman and have been together for 30 years; his sons, Brad A. Rupert and his companion, John E. Staiger of Philadelphia, and Adam W. (Jennifer) Rupert of Maryland; step sons, Brian S. (Marla) Kepner of Delaware and Christopher L. Kepner of Muncy; his brother, John E. (Melanie) Rupert of Dallas, PA; niece, Sarah (John) Ashley of Harding, PA, and six grandchildren.

Per Dave’s request the funeral and burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Muncy Cemetery with Pastor John Klim officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport Pa 17701, or to the Gatehouse c/o Susquehanna Health Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701. Arrangements are by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
