Daniel L. Merrick, 70

Daniel L. Merrick, 70, of Montoursville, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at his home.

Born on August 21, 1955, in Williamsport, he was the only son of the late John B. and Amy A. (Davis) Merrick. Daniel is survived by his daughter, Rachel Lehman-Merrick (Justin Hughes), a son, Jesse Merrick; and sisters, Connie L. Brophy (husband Gary), and Lorraine M. O’Lone. He also leaves behind, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

A proud graduate of South Williamsport Area High School, Daniel furthered his education at Lock Haven University. His work ethic was demonstrated by his three decades of service with Merrick Brother’s Inc., a family-owned business, where he was not only a dedicated worker but also a friend to many.

Daniel’s love for the great outdoors was unparalleled and he enjoyed sharing stories with his friends at the Southside Sportsman Hunting Camp. His passion for hunting was matched only by his skill as a fisherman, with trout fishing in hidden runs and local streams being among his favorite pursuits. He cherished cabin life on the Sock, embracing the simple joys of chopping and stacking wood, and the tranquility of nature.
